‘Toxic’ singer Britney Spears is all geared up to roll into the New Year on Indian soil. As per reports, the sexy pop-star will be spending the penultimate and the last night of 2009 in the backwaters of Kerala staying in luxury houseboats amidst nature’s lap.

“She likes India and Kerala is a new-found love for her. She will ring in the New Year while on the cruise,” cites a source.

Apart from feeling the ecstasy of staying in ‘God’s own country’ (Kerala), one more reason brings her to the place. And it’s that after herNew Year celebrations, she’d be shooting for her new album that would include the exotic scenes of Kerala. Herd of elephants and the traditional folk dance Kathakali is also to feature in her album.

But, the sultry and hottie star is keeping her mouth shut as she wants no unwanted attention from the preying eyes of tabloid.

“She is very particular about privacy during her holidays. She wants no media, no public glare. She wants to be with herself in a serene, romantic environment,”  quips a source.

But, now that the cat is out of the bag, we don’t think, it’d be possible for her to evade the hunting cameras. After all, she is none other than the one and onlyBritney Spears…… Phew!

Britney Spears’ boyfriend Jason Trawick has reportedly met with her ex-husband to ask about proposing.

Jason is alleged to have set up a meeting with Kevin Federline – who has sons Sean Preston, four, and Jayden James, three, with Britney – to seek his approval.

A source said: “Jason not only professed his love for Britney, he told Kevin he absolutely adores his two sons. Jason acknowledged that Kevin will always be the boys’ real dad, but respectfully asked his blessing as a future co-parent. Jason has been spending lots of time with the boys to try and bond with them.”

The meeting between the pair is said to have gone well with the pair embracing in a hug at the end of the meeting.

The source added: “Kevin couldn’t be happier, he trusts Jason. The guys agreed to be in close touch – and Britney’s thrilled knowing she’s now one step closer to her goal of marrying Jason and living happily ever after.”

Britney has reportedly already made two proposals to talent agent Jason, but he has turned them down.

Not all the bad news out of Australia about Britney Spears is true.

Although she was in fact embroiled in a lip-syncing controversy, reports that her agent-boyfriend Jason Trawick abruptly left the country after rejecting her wedding proposal are “100 percent absolutely false,” says a source close to the couple. “There was no proposal and they were never engaged.”

The couple of more than six months had spent time together across Australia with her two boys, Preston and Jayden, while Spears performed on stops of her Circus tour. When Trawick headed back to L.A. instead of spending the holidays it was simply a matter of logistics. “Jason spent more time in Australia than originally planned,” says the source. “They are very happy.”

With her The Circus Starring Britney Spears tour ending Sunday night, the pop princess’ team has decided to keep the momentum going. After breaking for the holidays, Brit is going into the studio in January to work on a new album.

Brit’s last album, Circus, debuted one year ago today. It was her sixth studio album, and her fifth to debut number one on the Billboard 200. She’s obviously hoping this next effort will be lucky #7. The goal for release is June, 2010.

After being booed onstage for her very obvious lip-syncing and being jeered as she entered and left her hotels in Australia this past week, Britney Spears has told her team — and anyone else who will listen — she will never again perform for an Aussie audience.

Spears reportedly has been very shaken by her poor reception in Australia — ”and is very happy to be getting out of that country,” said a longtime Spears insider.
