The 'Toxic' singer - who recently filed for divorce from Kevin Federline - fell for a four-year-old boy called Wang, from Bali, who lost his entire family in the 2004 Indian Ocean tragedy, after reading about his plight.

A source said: 'She instantly wanted to help him and is sponsoring him until she can find out more.

'And she has even written to officials seeking advice.

'The tsunami disaster was a tragedy very close to Britney's heart and she has dedicated a lot of her time to its charities.'

Britney - who has two children with her estranged husband, Sean Preston, 15-months-old and three-month-old Jayden James - has even consulted celebrity pal Madonna, who recently adopted a Malawi boy.

The source added: 'She is even in talks with Madonna about it and is taking it very seriously.'

The 25-year-old star's decision to adopt an underprivileged child is part of her plan to make a fresh start in the new year, following her bitter split from Kevin.

The source said: 'Britney's had a turbulent year and wants 2007 to be brilliant. (okay, we seriously doubt she ever used that word 'brilliant')

'As well as wanting to look after little Wang, she is determined to make a music comeback with a difference.'

According to a report and a really grainy photo - Britney has again stripped down by taking her shirt off at a party.

Amazingly - that seems quite tame for the Winter 2006 Britney. A report from metro UK details that Britney attended a party in Los Angeles and as Britney seems now prone to do she was 'chain-smoking and knocking back the cocktails at a party.'

The report notes that Britney arrived at the festivities fully clothed; in fact she was donned in a conservative black top. But just as in Las Vegas where Britney's flashing ways began in November, the pop tart undressed at the party and spent the rest of the evening partying in what appears to be a black bra.

In Las Vegas with then pal Paris Hilton, Britney was dancing at a club and undressed there as well, whipping off her pants top dance the night away in only fishnet stockings.

Britney seems to be losing fans and respect, but it has yet to hit her as she continues her partying ways.

He's also on the list when people were asked the biggest hero of 2006, but he was beaten out by President Bush, who tops the list. The biggest villain of 2006, according to the poll? Also President Bush.

When asked to choose from a list of names, almost three out of 10 adults, or 29 percent, bestowed the dubious honor of worst celebrity of the year on Britney Spears.

The 25-year-old pop star and mother of two young sons recently filed for divorce from Kevin Federline, her husband of two years. She then followed that up with highly publicized wild nights out with party girls Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton.

Spears was spotted on more than one occsasion (including pictures online) wearing no underwear, which raised questions about her abilities as a parent. Could a home movie be in the offering?

Spears apologized subsequently on her Web site, saying she probably went 'a little too far' with her newfound freedom.

Britney Spears fired her personal publicist in early October and has since been utilizing the services of Sonia Muckle, a rep from her record label, to recreate her current carefree, no underwear image.

Well, Sonia has now moved on and to make matters worse for our favorite Pop-Tart, she's been dumped by her biggest fan-site WorldofBritney.com.
