Pink Is The New Blog: Britney'S New Year'S Eve Shoutout
My good friend Trent from Pink Is The New Blog was the first with exclusive pictures and footage from last night's celebration at PURE in Las Vegas. Trent has uploaded a video showing Britney ringing in the New Year. This obviously took place before the alleged collapse.
Breaking News: Britney Collapses Early This Morning In Vegas
Less than one hour into the New Year, pop-princess Britney Spears collapsed at the PURE nightclub inside Caesars Palace. Just 50 minutes earlier, she had hosted two countdowns to usher in the New Year - one inside the VIP section at the hip hot nightspot and a 2nd up on the club's upper outdoor terrace overlooking the famed Vegas Strip where fireworks were shot off from seven casino-hotel rooftops.
Mystery now surrounds Britney's collapse early this morning. She had been seated on a VIP tented-cabana bed overlooking the dance floor at 12:50AM talking with one of her male dancers. She intimated she wanted to leave and as she stood up, 'she went into a dead faint and just fell right to the floor.'
Her group pulled her up and lay her on the bed at the same time as her personal security asked for the club to provide at least 10 other security managers to 'get her out as quickly as possible.' They surrounded the stricken pop star in an attempt to screen her from all observers and the new years revelers on the crowded dance floor.
One woman in the Spears' entourage yelled, 'Make sure nobody gets any photos. No photos anywhere.'
When the 12-strong security phalanx was in place, two of her dancers wrapped Britney in what appeared to be a blanket-hooded poncho. Literally carrying her in both arms, they managed to propell her through the crowds and out of the club.
It appeared as if 'she was being dragged as she wasn't walking under her own speed' said one eyewitness. 'It looked as if they wanted to get her up to her hotel room as soon as possible.'
At 2AM this morning, an ambulance was summoned to the hotel but it was totally unclear if it was brought to Caesars for Britney.

Hey guys!
As 2006 comes to an end, I just wanted to say it has been a challenging, but great year. Regardless of all the “nah-ah-no-she-didn’t” Britney moments, I believe we all know at the core why we became Britney fans in the first place. I know most of you don’t know me very well, but WoB holds a very special place in my heart. (Sounds cheesy, I know…but it’s the truth!)
With that said, I wanted to take this time to thank those whom have made WoB their home over the years and those whom have recently discovered it. The support this year while Britney took time off from her career was amazing…You guys rock!
Also, I just want to say a special thanks to Ruben, who allowed me to help out by nurturing his baby, his little creation we all refer to as WoB. None of this would have been possible without his determination, dedication, and courage… So thank you *-*

Update: Our sources tell us that Britney only came up to Matt to say 'Hello' as it occurs that one of Britney's closest friends is pals with Brynn Cameron. 'Matt is not the kind of guy to even want to go there, he's a proud father and has a baby waiting at home', our source adds.
Posted on WoB earlier: Arizona Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart and University of Southern California basketball player Brynn Cameron welcomed their first child on October 24th, 2006.
Leinart, 23, graduated from USC in December 2005 and lives in Los Angeles and Arizona.
Cameron, a 20-year-old USC junior, will sit out the upcoming basketball season.
It's an exciting time in their life, says a source who knows both athletes. �They both have support from their families.
Leinart, a Heisman trophy winner and close pal of Nick Lachey, was linked romantically to Paris Hilton in the past.
He is currently raising money to start the Matt Leinart Foundation, a learning center for underprivileged and disabled children. Kids are important to Matt,� his rep said. �He really wants to help kids who can�t help themselves.
