Britney Spears: Hello everyone, I'm just so excited to be able to talk to so many people right now!

Question:: What did your parents think of the pictures in Rolling Stone?

Spears: They thought they were pretty cool. We did the shoot at my house, so it was cool. They were a little risqué but since it was Rolling Stone, they thought it was OK.

Question: What type of workout do you do?

Spears: Usually, the shows I perform, that's my workout, but since I hurt my knee, I have to work out every day to strengthen my leg. Most of the time it's just dancing.

Question:: What do you think about a Mickey Mouse Club reunion (cast '89-'95)?

Spears: I would love to have a reunion just to see everybody again, because we were on the show for two years together and then the show was just cancelled. So I would just love that.

Question:: How is your knee doing?

Spears: My knee is a lot better. Next week I'll do the video for "Sometime", and I'll be able to dance!

Question:: What's your favorite movie?

Spears: Probably Titanic. I love that movie.

Question:: If you could not be a singer, what career would you choose?

Spears: To be honest, I have no idea. Probably a dance teacher.

Question:: How do you balance your personal life in school and your professional life?

Spears: I have a cell phone which is really dangerous because my phone bill is really high. I come home every six weeks, and get to see my friends, so it's all OK.

Question:: Is the song "...Baby One More Time" based on a real story?

Spears: No, it's not.

Question:: I would like to know if you really sing in your music videos?

Spears: The songs are prerecorded, yes it's me singing. But during the video, I'm not singing.

Question:: What were your first impressions of '...Baby One More Time'? Did you ever, in your wildest dreams, imagine it would go #1 worldwide?

Spears: Well, when I first heard it I knew it was going to be a hit, because it was one of the songs. But I didn't know it would go to number one. I hoped and dreamed, yes, but I didn't expect it.

Question:: What is your favorite color?

Spears: Baby blue.

Question:: When will you be going on tour?

Spears: In July.

Question:: How often do you answer fan mail or e-mail?

Spears: Not that often because I'm really, really busy. But I try to do it as much as I can.

Question:: Is it true you will be on the Walt Disney World Easter Parade?

Spears: Yes! It's true!

Question:: Britney, is there a special someone you are seeing now?

Spears: No, there's not. I don't have a boyfriend.

Question:: What's your favorite TV show(s)?

Spears: Friends and Felicity.

Question:: Britney, what was it like doing the off-Broadway show Ruthless?

Spears: It was a lot of fun, because I was really young and it was my first experience doing something like that, I got to sing and dance and act, so it was really fun.

Question:: Who were your musical influences?

Spears: I like Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson and Madonna. Those are my main influences.

Question:: What is your fave song to perform?

Spears: Probably "Crazy", because I can dance a lot to the song and it's a fun song to sing.

Question:: When will you appear on Dawson's Creek?

Spears: Next season.

Question:: I heard you were making a TV pilot. Are you going to have a TV show?

Spears: Actually that is just something that we're talking about doing, and I'll definitely do in the future, but not right now.

Question:: What's your favorite book?

Spears: Probably The Star by Danielle Steele.

Question:: Was it fun being on the Mickey Mouse Club?

Spears: Yes, it was a lot of fun. There were like 20 kids on the show, and we just goofed off all the time, and it was a lot of fun.

Question:: Is it true Justin Timberlake was you first kiss? Was it a love kiss or an on-screen Mickey Mouse Club kiss?

Spears: No, he was not my first kiss, and we never kissed on the show. We've never kissed!

Question:: What's your least favorite class in high school?

Spears: Probably trig. I hate it.

Question:: What is your favorite thing to do when you are not on the road?

Spears: Probably just spending time with my family and hanging out with my friends.

Question:: I heard you have been dancing for a VERY long time. What kind of dance lessons did you take?

Spears: I took jazz dancing.

Question:: What kind of music do you listen to?

Spears: All kinds. I like hip-hop, rap, R & B, all kinds.

Question:: I was just wondering who is your favorite actor/actress?

Spears: I love Meg Ryan, Sandra Bullock, Brad Pitt, Ben Affleck.

Question:: Have you seen the multiple web sites about you? What do you think about them?

Spears: No, actually, I haven't seen them.

Question:: When are you going to be on Saturday Night Live and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno?

Spears: Some dates have just been confirmed, I'm not really sure when they are.

Question:: Is it true that you will be in Disney World for Grad Night?

Spears: Yes, it's true.

Question:: Do you have any pets??

Spears: Yes, I have a dog, a Rottweiller. His name is Cane.

Question:: What's the best and what's the worst thing about being famous?

Spears: The best thing is probably being able to travel and see the world, and have so much fun. The bad thing, on the other hand, is probably being away from your family.

Question:: I'm having surgery tomorrow! What advice do you have? Was it scary for you?

Spears: Actually it wasn't that scary, because the nurses and everyone were really nice, so it wasn't that bad.

Question:: Who's your favourite cartoon character?

Spears: I love Daisy.

Question:: Do you speak any other language than English?

Spears: A little bit of Spanish, not that much.

Question:: What is your favorite sport?

Spears: I love basketball.

Question:: I am also from South Louisiana. What is your favorite southern food?

Spears: Probably chicken and dumplings, I love that.

Question:: Did 'N Sync play any really bad tricks on you while you were touring with them?

Spears: No, they didn't!

Question:: Britney, What do you think about all the young girls who look up to you?

Spears: I think it's really flattering, and really sweet.

Question:: So what float are you going to ride on in the Easter Parade on Sunday?

Spears: I don't know.

Question:: Who would you love to meet?

Spears: I would love to meet Brad Pitt.

Question:: What is your best advice in getting started singing?

Spears: Probably just take some voice lessons and probably try to sing at as many functions as you can so you'll get used to performing.

Question:: Were your parents supportive of your career choice?

Spears: They have always been really, really supportive.

Question:: When is your next video out?

Spears: I'm not really sure, actually.

Question:: Do you use the Internet at all?

Spears: Sometimes.

Question:: What is you favorite ice cream flavor?

Spears: Cookie dough!

Question:: Who is your favorite basketball player?

Spears: Michael Jordan.

Question:: Do you collect beanie babies? If you do what is your favorite one?

Spears: Actually, I don't collect beanie babies.

Question:: How many demo tapes did you make? How many songs did you sing on the demo tapes and did you sing the whole song on the tape?

Spears: Actually I had like two demo tapes, but after I got signed to the record label, I made a lot more.

Question:: What is the worst rumor you have heard about yourself?

Spears: Actually I haven't heard a bad rumor yet, knock on wood!

Question:: Do you think James Van Der Beek or Joshua Jackson is cute?

Spears: Joshua Jackson.

Question:: I noticed that Britney played basketball in middle school. I was wondering if she had ever planned to pursue playing college basketball?

Spears: No. Not really, I just really did it for fun.

Question:: What is the most special gift that you have received from your fans?

Spears: I got a cross necklace that was really pretty.

Question:: Were you awake during surgery on your knee?

Spears: No, I was asleep.

Question:: Since you're going to be in the Disney Easter Parade, do you have a favorite Disney cartoon?

Spears: Probably, let me see, Tiny Toons.

Spears: Probably when I was like eight years old.

Spears: There is going to be a lot of dancing and it's going to take place on the beach.

Question:: Have any former teen idols given you any advice on how to deal with fame?

Spears: Really not, I've had to experience it myself.

Question:: Is it true that your cousin is in the video, "...Baby One More Time?"

Spears: Yes, it is true.

Question:: Do you sing in the shower?

Spears: Yes, I do sing in the shower.

Question:: What's your favorite song you play?

Spears: Probably "Crazy".

Question:: Do you have your Driver's License?

Spears: Yes, I do.

Question:: Why didn't "Autumn Goodbye" appear on the album?

Spears: I don't know, there were better songs to do on the album.

Question:: Are you writing any new songs?

Spears: Yeah!

Question:: Are you a rightie or a leftie?

Spears: Rightie, but I'm a leftie in dance.

Question:: What is your favorite animal?

Spears: Puppy dog.

Question:: Are you playing yourself on Dawson's Creek?

Spears: Yes.

Question:: Do you feel you are being controlled in any way by your management and Transcontinental records? Do you want to break away any time in the future? Or do you feel they've been helpful and supportive?

Spears: Yes, very. They have been very supportive.

Question:: Do you think you are still the same person even after becoming famous?

Spears: Yes, completely.

Question:: Now that you are famous, do you get recognized a lot?

Spears: Yes.

Question:: Who will you be touring with this summer?

Spears: By myself.

Question:: What do you look for in a guy?

Spears: I guess confidence and that he's true to himself and that he can make me laugh.

Question:: Do you have to be in a certain mood to write? And, if so, what kind?

Spears: I don't have to be any certain mood, I write wherever I am, in the tub, grocery store, plane, anywhere.

Question:: Where do you want your future, permanent home to be?

Spears: In Florida.

Question:: What is your favorite city?

Spears: Chicago.

Question:: Do your parents travel with you to concerts?

Spears: Sometimes.

Question:: How do you feel about doing your own tour?

Spears: I'm very excited about it.

Question:: What was the most embarassing moment you have had?

Spears: One time I was on stage and my flight suit that my dancers were supposed to pull off didn't come off, and they were pulling and tugging, and it wouldn't come off. And the next time, I was on stage with B*Witched, the group that had been on stage before me, and one of the audience members had thrown a cupcake onstage,and I slipped on it, and fell, and it wasn't very funny.

Question:: Does anyone else in your family sing?

Spears: My little sister does. My mom sings a little bit too.

Question:: Have you ever been asked to be in Hollywood movies?

Spears: No.

Question: What is your middle name?

Spears: Jean.
