Britney’s had the best time while on her break. She was a little restless at first, which is natural after going at such a fast pace for so long. But now she’s gotten “into the groove” of her time off. It’s great for me because I get to see more of her than usual. She spends her time in New York, Los Angeles, and here in Kentwood -- roller blading, going to see movies, and visiting friends and family.

She also spent a week in London recently, to begin the recording process. She’s very excited about the next album, because she’s been writing some great new songs and is going to be collaborating with new producers that she’s wanted to work with for a long time.

She also took some time to visit Laura Lynne at L.S.U. Laura got a new off-campus apartment, so Britney helped her set it up. They both have a lot of creative ideas for decorating. Britney likes to visit Laura Lynne down in Baton Rouge and hang out with her friends. For the most part, they all just treat Brit like one of the gang, which is really great. Besides, any time the two of them get together, it’s a guaranteed good time!

This week Britney was recognized at an awards event in L.A. for her dedication to children’s causes by the Neil Bogart Foundation. With her own Foundation and the Camp for the Performing Arts, children’s charities and issues have been an important part of her career. It was very nice to have the people she works with acknowledge her commitment.

Sometimes I can’t believe how quickly time has flown. Halloween’s over and Thanksgiving’s just around the corner. I’m looking forward to it, and hoping that the whole family will be able to get together.
