Jenna Jameson is taking legal action to halt a promotional scheme that suggests
she had a lesbian relationship with Britney Spears. Jameson alleges that the
promotion was designed to market a new website called MyFindIt.com. A cease and
desist letter was sent by Jameson's attorney Gary Crandell to Wendy Walls of
MyFindIt.com.
It asked her to cease to "to publish false and injurious statements of and
concerning Jenna Jameson and Brittany Spears (sic)" – it says something that the
lawyers seemed unable to recognise the name of possibly the most famous female
singing star in the world.
Crandell said: "The statements include representations of fact that Jenna
Jameson was involved in a lesbian relationship with Britney Spears at her home
in Arizona."
"The statement is made purely for the purpose of promoting and marketing a
website. You are aware that your claims are false and you have published your
libelous statements for the purpose of profiting from the celebrity of these two
famous persons."
Jameson is entitled to protect her reputation, but as her website promises that
"women desire her", it does seem strange that she's getting all moral.
