In order to fully experience the upcoming WoB 2nd Anniversary Celebration
which will be up in a couple of hours, there are a few things we would like you to have ready next time you log on to WoB.
Like, we've done before the whole layout and main page will change temporarily for about 24 hours while the celebration is under way....
In order for you to enjoy the production to its maximum extent we recommend that you have your speakers turned on at ALL times, and if you're on AOL, make sure you switch to Internet Explorer. Also, download the latest version of Windows Media Player from
http://www.windowsmedia.com.
If you have Real Player installed on your computer, make sure that it's not
stealing your MIME settings.....which control what type of audio extensions are
played by what player in your computer.
To do this, open up your Real Player, select "View", then go to "Preferences",
then go to "Upgrade", then all the way at the bottom it says "Media Types", go
on and click on "Re-Associate" and when the window comes up, make sure that
"MPEG Video" , "MPEG Audio" and "MP3 Playlists" is not selected. When you've
done that click on OK, then OK again, and exit Real Player.
We also recommend that you do not have any applications running on your computer
that may use all of its resources, meaning, have Internet Explorer open as your
only application (you can of course keep stuff like AIM, ICQ, Yahoo and
necessities on your system tray).
When you enter for the first time, a 3 MB Macromedia Flash file will begin
loading.....for people on High Speed Connections, the loading will only take
15-20 seconds, while for people that are on Dialup, it may take over 1 minute.
You will see an indicator that says "Processing" that will show you that the
loading is taking place, please be patient with this, and especially if you are
on Dial-up.
