This is a clipping of Britney from the cover
of the entertainment section of the newspaper "World Daily News". WDN is a
Chinese newspaper that is meant for Taiwanese-Americans, focusing on Taiwan
but printed and distributed solely in America, namely the Southern California
area where there is a large Chinese-American population.
In the article, it talks about how since
Britney's boyfriend broke up with her, she has gained weight and gets drunk
every night. Then it talks about how her mom got sick of her antics and
slapped her across the face.
When I read this article, I felt so indignant
on Britney's behalf, and quickly defended her to my mom, who read this article
and believed it, of course. Seriously, WDN just had their hot little hands on
a bad picture of her, and took the opportunity to use it to perpetuate the
most recent and FALSE rumors about her.
Anyway, my point is that this article just
reassures all of Britney's fans that she is indeed a huge international star,
that even the people of Taiwan as well as Chinese-Americans are interested in
news concerning her. I myself am an ABC (American-Born Chinese) and I as well
as several of my ABC girlfriends are HUGE BRITNEY FANS! We love her, as do
millions of people all around the world.
We also love WoB and all the hard work you
put into it! Keep up the great work and enjoy the Big Apple...
