Well,
the whole VMA vibe is now reaching it's last hangover hours and I must say that
this year's was definitely one of the coolest shows ever. Seeing Guns N' Roses
perform definitely took me back to when I was 12 and went out to buy their 'Use
Your Illusion' albums, it was an era when Rock used to dominate, remember
Metallica, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soul Asylum and 4 Non Blondes? LoL, the
Backstreet Boys had prolly not even started recording their debut album yet and
Pop was nowhere dominant, but things changed, yet it was cool to see Axl Rose
still screaming his lungs out with that mic once again. Justin's performance was
also awesome, although I expected a little bit more, I don't know if you agree.
P. Diddy's Broadway performance was definitely one to remember too, and Britney,
well......someone at the forums said that and I quote 'I honestly believe in
the 'POP' side of music that Britney was the only person there tonight that was
in the same league as Michael.'
And of course, The Last Fan Standing, I don't think many webmasters or
communities can take the pride in saying that we helped her get up there on that
podium, with Justin, J.C, Joey and Chris.....we helped her get to the Top 4 and
that is just an incredible satisfaction and accomplishment for everybody here
that represents WoB. Tracie called our hotline from NYC today for the last time
telling us how everything went last night and well, here it is for you to hear,
once again, thanks to all of those who voted and I hope you all enjoyed our VMA
coverage, I know most of the world gets MTV, I was asking myself if the coverage
was worth it, and when I received an E-mail from a girl that had been deployed
with the US Air Force overseas thanking us for doing this due to them not
getting MTV, it made me really happy. Anyway, time to listen to Tracie now,
enjoY !
