I
got the scans from the newest edition of US Weekly with Britney on the cover. At
first, when I heard from some people that the cover story sounded more like a
tabloid story, I didn't care to put it up, but, I decided what the hell, why not
read it and see what they're saying, after all, to me US Weekly has never been a
tabloid mag. I was amazed at how much facts the article had and how many
important points it touched. I think that it's great that the People Weekly and
US Weekly editions with Britney came out in the same week because it gives what
everybody has been talking about not only contrast, but perspective. In US
Weekly everything is talked about, including family problems, relationship
problems and career problems with advices included. As I continued to read the
article, I gained a lot of respect for the writer, because most of the stuff
that's in there just confirms things that I've been told myself and heard from
my own sources, which are pretty much as reliable as the sources in the mag, if
not more.
Now that some stuff mentioned in there are out in public, meaning, they're
publishing it for everybody to read, I might as well give y'all my opinion and
my take on the stuff that's in there based on what I know and what I've heard.
First off, the People Weekly article was good, it was really good, because
Britney did speak up and she did stand up for herself in a lot of points, yet,
it was slightly sugar coated, it contained a lot of the public Britney when we
right now wish to know what's up with the real and the private Britney. The fact
that Britney still denied the smoking rumors on People and some things about
Justin made the article in its entire form not be as fulfilling as one wished.
On the other hand, the US Weekly article takes us on a different road, which is
the one of the life of the private Britney, and the stuff that goes behind the
scenes, yet, it's based on stuff they've heard the media report, and then of
course, they've written the next chapter. Therefore, believe it or not, read
what I gotta say or not, I'll give you my take on some of the points in the
articles and what I think is inaccurate.
First off, her parent's divorce. Someone released a rumor a while back about
Britney's parents divorcing due to someone finding out that her dad Jamie was
still living in the old house, plus a 'close source' stating they had divorced.
Britney said herself she was happy that this had happened and was not affected
by it at all. Knowing Britney and how close she is to her family and the bond
that she has to it, it is evidently clear that the only way Britney could have
said that 'she was happy about it' is because she had already been used to it.
Britney's parents divorced when she was around 12 years old. The reason is none
of our business but it's important to note the time frame, Britney is 'cool'
with it and the fact that she says that 'They can't stand each other' (quoting
from PEOPLE) is because she has known this basically all her life. If right now
was the perfect opportunity to just come out with it and say they had finally
divorced, just because well, the rumor was out and they had no choice.....that's
to question. But as quoted in US Weekly, the fact that Jamie only likes to live
a normal life outside the glam and richness while Britney's mom is the opposite,
loving life through her daughters fame, is true, and this has been confirmed by
both Jamie (him being quoted in the article about the 3 girls that went to the
old house and were greeted by him and a gun) and then how Lynne Spears usually
loves to mention not only the brands, but also the models of the cars her
daughter buys her, through her editorial corner at BritneySpears.com
Secondly, the split. In US Weekly it mentions that 'friends close to the star'
say that what eventually lead to the breakup was jealousy. From what I've heard,
that is completely true. What happened was that Justin got way too tired of
Britney always checking up on him, wondering where he was, what he was doing,
and who he was hanging out with. Justin was tired of Britney being way too
possessive and persistent and he could not handle the stress. They would fight a
lot lately. But Britney is the type of girl that when she gives her heart out,
and loves somebody, it's something that's consuming, and the more you get into
it, the more you want. Justin wasn't ready for that kind of commitment due to of
course the busy schedule and what seemed to be a lack of trust, Britney didn't
want Justin around other girls, period, and eventually Justin was fed up and he
broke things off, and that was if I'm not mistaken, March 14th or something, but
it was definitely when Britney was in Europe for her CrossRoads premieres (which
explains why she didn't have the energy to even care about her fans, cause like
she said, for her, family and love always comes first before anything).
Third, the fact that she has been with others. First off, she was linked with
Brian Friedman, that was ridiculous, Brian drives the car on the other side of
the road and the media should know that by now, in fact, it was so hilarious to
see some tabloids pointing out Brian as her fling while showing a picture of her
dancer Leo, describing him as Brian. There was also the rumor about Justin and
Janet Jackson, which sprung from the Enquirer, this was a rumor that was planted
for fun by someone in high places who lives in Los Angeles, the plan was to do
one for Britney too with one of her ex-dancers but that didn't happen. I know
who did it, but the name doesn't matter. Then of course, there was the thing
with Wade Robson, even US Weekly states that 'friends close to the star'
insisted that there was something going on, and according to what I know, there
was, but, who in their right mind would admit to that something happened, and
especially Wade himself, who's a very good friend of Justin, that would just not
be right. But like Britney said in People she's 20 and if she sees other people
what's the big deal?, she's experimenting just like any other girl her age.
Then US Weekly goes on with some career advice for Britney, which I must say, I
agree with in most parts, the biggest part being, the lip-synching needs to
STOP, seriously, if she continues lip-synching through her 4th album
performances, I'm seriously going to start worrying about Britney, so I hope
that changes.
This was all some sort of a recap of the latest articles you've read in People
Magazine and US Weekly with the difference that I've included what I've been
told and what I know is real. I think that it's important that a site like WoB
which carries a great responsibility to the fans to clear out and clear up
things that most fans have been wondering about and trying to fill the gaps to,
hopefully, this article helped you out. Sometimes the media portrays things in a
way in which things aren't told with accuracy even though it claims it is. A
professional journalist will always know how to make an article start good, end
good, and sound good, even though it contains controversies that might go
against the whole thesis of that article.
Anyway....this was my take on the latest topics covered on Brit.
