Ok,
who the heck does this guy think he is? I'm about to lay the smackdown cause I'm
so tired of his bull. He's either a very tormented person or he's simply putting
out a fake image of himself that obviously sells with some people. But most
people don't like him, and I'm personally one of them.
It was August 3rd, the day before the Teen Choice Awards, and as I was ready to
make the drive up to San Francisco, I decided to check out "Signs" at the
Chinese Mann Theatre in Hollywood. As I crossed the Hollywood & Highland complex
and made my way down Hollywood Blvd, I saw a huge line of people standing
outside the Kodak Theatre, it almost looked like people were camping out. It was
around 1 AM. I stopped and asked some of the people there what they were doing.
They said they were standing in line to get tickets for the final American Idol
show that was to take place at the Kodak Threatre in the first week of
September.
I was like "Oh, that's cool". The couple that were sitting in their chairs in
what was thank god not a chilly night asked me if I knew who Simon Cowell was,
because they had been talking about him for the past hour. I said "No, I don't"
and they said "Oh well, I guess you can't be part of our debate then". I was
like, no come on, let me in, and they said "Well, he's one of the judges on
American Idol, widely hated by most people, because all he does is sit there
wearing the exact same clothes every time criticizing and bashing these hard
working artists on live national television". I was like "Oh....".
So later that week when I was back in San Diego I sat down and watched American
Idol, it was the part where most of them had been practicing with Burt
Bacharach. It was the episode where Tamyra got so much praise and Nikki received
extremely bad comments about her performance, especially from Simon Cowell. I
was like "Oh my god, poor girl, that guy was such an ass to her". Even though I
understand the guts and hard work it has taken for all the contestants to get up
on stage and sing their hearts out, there is basically not justification for
ANYBODY to be so harsh against them, yeah, human nature, not a tv-producer's
dreams of what "Good TV" is all about.
At that moment, I didn't care much more about him, until.......yesterday, when I
heard he dissed Britney on The Pulse. I have the video right here, and I want
you all to watch this. This is when I really got pissed off, because, who the
heck does he think he is? So he's been in the music business for 20 years doing
A&R, his biggest hit has been the European pop band Westlife (WoW). He has the
guts to come up and say that he almost "stole" Baby One More Time from Britney,
right between when there were negotiations with TLC and they didn't accept the
song. He says he had a talk with Max Martin telling him how he was interested in
the song, but Max told him he had already given it to someone else, Simon then
said "Who"?, and Max Martin told him "Britney Spears" and Simon was like "Well,
who the hell is Britney Spears". He then went on to say how Britney thought she
was all that, but that in fact she wasn't.
So let me tell you something Sir......you're just an ageing, untalented
attention seeker who is trying to develop a new career based on slagging people
off who are talented and brave enough to get up and perform in front of an
audience. I don't know what the heck you're trying to do, or if at the end of
the day, you feel happy about yourself. I just needed to give my opinion on this
guy, because he's completely arrogant when it comes to understanding what these
new artists go through to get to where they're at, and how much they've dreamed
of reaching success. Can you even sing? No..., so what's your DEAL? Just get off
the podium, cause nobody wants to listen to you anymore.
He dissed Britney, yeah of course, everybody's dissing Britney nowadays one way
or the other, but of course they will, look at her, look at where she's at, how
many artists reach the level of success Britney has reached? Not many......and
in today's **cked up entertainment business where rejection is what people eat
for breakfast, lol, it's a big deal. To then have TV network broadcast comments
issued and heard nationwide by somebody who has no right whatsoever to even give
such an opinion about her, and especially after all she's been through, yeah, to
me that is just completely **cked up. People will always diss on others who are
succesful for the pure fact that they don't want u up there, it's either
jealousy or obsession, it's either a flashback of how u wanted your life to be
once, or because you simply can't stand seeing the smile on other people's faces
when they've achieved their dreams.
Simon.......go home.
Surreal from WoB Forums Says: "I mean giving your opinion is fine, but when
you make it as nasty as possible to the point where it makes people cry is just
a little too much. He's a prick when he's mean, but he actually seems pretty
nice when he has something nice to say...once in a blue moon."
