Britney's
mom has laid down the law to force the troubled star to ditch her wild
lifestyle. Lynne Spears told her daughter she was concerned about her
extreme partying following her split from NSYNC’s JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE.
Close friends of the 20-year-old singer claim she had lost control and went
off the rails in an attempt to cushion the blow of the failed romance. Now
Britney is promising her family and friends to turn over a new leaf.
Judging by my picture taken yesterday, the star has already swopped partying
for DIY as she splashed out on a tube of glue in an LA shop. A friend says:
“Britney didn’t cope well with things when Justin dumped her.
“She was touring and hanging out with the wrong crowd and the partying
didn’t stop when the tour ended.
“She was absolutely devastated and just got involved with the wrong people.
As soon as she finished on the road, the party just continued back in Los
Angeles.
“She was out most nights and would spend her time drinking and smoking with
people older than her.” Now Britney has been forced to give up the showbiz
lifestyle after an ear-bashing from her mother.
The star also has the added responsibility of having to take care of her
sister Jamie Lynn while her mum is in Houston looking after Britney’s
cancer-stricken aunt. She has also told friends she is turning her life
around.
Rather than party at the exclusive Los Angeles clubs where she has become a
regular, Britney is promising to take care of her body.
Non-stop partying takes its toll on your looks — and Britney is conscious of
that.
The friend says: “A few months ago the press had noted that she had piled on
the pounds.
This hurt Britney and she has vowed to get trim. She has decided she wants
to be more like her heroine MADONNA and have staying power in the business.
“She knows by partying hard she runs the risk of burning herself out.
“She has been reading about Madonna’s fitness regime and how she loves yoga
and now Britney has decided that she is going to take up the exercise too.”
Britney has now hired a private instructor to teach her the moves which have
kept Madonna’s figure so trim well into her forties. And Britney has started
hanging out with her old friends in Los Angeles again, including her best
pal and cousin Laura Lynn.
Britney has also hired a fitness instructor to help her with her gym work
and is spending afternoons hiking around the city’s fashionable Runyon
Canyon, where Robbie Williams and Geri Halliwell work out.
The friend says: “Britney has realized that whatever she does she is still
going to miss Justin.
“She knows now that partying isn’t the answer and that even if she tries to
escape the reality by going out with friends, she will inevitably bump into
him or some of their mutual pals. “All it does is remind her about what she
has lost — and what she needs most right now is to forget about him.
“Justin has moved on and now must Britney. It’s taken a while but now she’s
ready to start afresh.
“Britney did have a wild period but we are all hoping it’s behind her now.”
Only last week the Sun reported how Justin’s family were happy that the pair
has split.
His grandma Sadie Bomar said: “We are delighted they aren’t dating any more.
“The break-up has been good for him. He has been able to do a lot of
song-writing. Britney was a distraction.”
She also revealed that Britney would not be welcome at his new £5million
luxury villa in the Hollywood Hills.
