Lately Britney's world has
been shaken up by the media in every direction. They keep reporting that her
star has "fallen" and she's losing fans. They take every little action that
Britney does an sensationalize it to portray Britney as a self indulged
diva, a pop star on the verge of a breakdown, not to mention talentless.
Wouldn't you say that if the media is so busy fabricating garbage about Ms.
Spears, that her "Star" is shining brighter than ever? Why take the time and
effort to write articles about someone who has had their "15 minutes of
fame." If Britney was going to disappear she would have done so a long time
ago. There are hundreds of pop acts out there that we haven't even heard of.
Britney has made a name for herself and I don't know about you guys but
everything she does makes me like her more. It's funny that a couple of
years ago the media was the one complaining that she was too squeaky
clean... that her "bubblegum pop" was enough to make anybody's teeth decay.
They wanted to see a Britney that was more real. So Britney grows up and
starts doing things for herself, no longer the puppet the media claimed her
to be and what happens. One little incident like flipping her middle finger
and the media goes crazy. They sensationalize the story to say that she's
flipping off her fans and more. Then they turn her canceled concert into her
"having a breakdown and storming out on her fans." Britney is "REAL" she
does things that any normal 20 year old would do.
I think Britney's future is still really bright. I think that she should
just keep doing her thing. Madonna was herself and now look at her. She is
one of the most powerful women in music. Forbes declaring Britney the most
powerful celebrity of the year is a sign that Britney is not over... this is
just the beginning.
My advise to Britney for the future is to keep it real. Keep experimenting
as an artist. Every artist has albums that don't sell well..... Sometimes
those albums are the best. Britney needs to keep growing as an artist...
expressing herself for who she is. Work in various genres. I think it would
be cool for her to put out a single where the song is released in the style
of every genre. For example a song mixed specifically for the Pop, R&B,
HipHop and Dance genres. Britney's remixes have done wonderfully in clubs. I
don't know about where you guys go clubbing but every time the thunderpuss
remix of "I'm A Slave 4 U" comes on, the dance floor gets packed. Maybe
Britney should do something like Madonna's Ray of Light & Cher's Believe and
put out a dance album. Whatever the case may be I still think that Britney
should do her thing and put her heart and soul out for people to see. I
think that Britney's fourth album might be the best yet. With all that's
happened to her in this last year I wouldn't doubt for a minute if she
decides to put more rock into her new CD. You know expressing her anger,
sadness, maybe even rage.
I will close this with an open letter to the media. Journalism is defined as
the presentation of "FACTS" in written or oral form. If you were ethical and
professional journalists you would stop sensationalizing events to sell a
product.

I agree, as Britney releases albums a new era is created for each release,
meaning Britney climbs a ladder of progression, where she's choosing what
paths to follow and where she wants to take her career and image. Sometimes
not even the most perfect planned strategies for an artist's career can go
well, because you never know what the real world situations may bring. I
personally think Britney is still hangin' on to a bunch of people, she's
still not "out there" all by herself. She needs to gain more confidence and
stand up for herself much more.
Sometimes for the fan's sake, walk an extra mile, even if you're used to
them, even if you are fed up with them, walk an extra mile for them, they're
your whole reason why you're standing where you are. If a transformer goes
dead in a concert, don't freak out cause you don't have your props, but sit
down and at least talk to your fans, show that you do have your own
personality to stand up for yourself when things like these happen. Britney
talks about being Overprotected, but the the truth is that, being
Overprotected is what makes her feel safe and she's been staying there
always.
If Britney would go out and seriously just be herself and not listen to so
many people that she has around her who just wish to shape her image
according to themselves and not to herself, Britney would be more real.
Britney's 4th album will be extremely anticipated as it will be her first
mature album. What I mean with mature is, and I am using my own life
experience here, When I turned 20, I was like "Crap, I'm not a teenager
anymore, I want to go back" but then I realized "Damn, I wish I was 21, so I
could go to clubs and occasionally have a drink" so "Britney" was released
in that stage in between where you don't really know where you are and at
what stage in your life you belong.
Britney's 4th album will hopefully be so much more personal than ever, not
include so much work from others, but hopefully, every song in this new
album will be exactly what is coming out of Britney's heart. I think the
chance of fans being able to connect with Britney like they once did before
everything blew up is yet to surface. Even though there will always be a
public and a private image of every artist out there, Britney is unique in
the way that it was her choice to let us into her personal life opening her
family morals and values to us, introducing them to us, something no artists
ever does, so that in a way makes you identify and feel closer to the
artist. My advice to Britney is to get rid of the bunch of people that keep
whispering stuff in her ear in regards to what is best for her, not worth
mentioning names, but I know Britney is the kind of girl who will say "YES
Let's Do That" to someone that is suggesting a new thing for her because she
sees the excitement in the eyes of others to help her out, even though
perhaps it isn't really the best thing for her.
So for Britney's sake, I just hope she manages to re-invent herself with
this 4th album and just come out as someone so much more independent and who
is absolutely in charge of all decisions now. It just doesn't work forcing
an image of yourself that has passed away long time ago, because when the
time comes you will just be contradicting yourself (again), just BE
YOURSELF, don't be afraid to just stand up for yourself. It may scare some
of your little 11 year old fans away, but hey, remember that you're not 16
anymore, you gotta let your fans grow with you and there will come a point
when the target audience that you used to have is not gonna be there for you
anymore, because you've outgrown them and they've outgrown you. I still
think most people haven't seen what the "real" Britney is all about....the
stuff she's done and how far she can go.....
Having faith in her is up to us, making it happen is up to her, not many
artists reach the level Britney is on right now.....and she knows that.
Remember, this is just my opinion. Yours may differ.
