Britney's song 'Lucky' was featured in tonight's CBS edition of 48 hours. The show was about a 10-year old girl who should have died at the hands of a serial killer. Miraculously, however, she lived through the horror of what this man did to her; not only that, but she helped to make sure that he never kills again. Now she is a happy 12-year old with her entire life ahead of her.
In the beginning of the show, they had a heading that said, 'Isn't She Lucky?' and then Britney's 'Lucky' song hit. Later on in the show, the girl appeared to be carrying a magazine with Britney's picture gracing the cover. And at the end of the show, the girl celebrated her twelfth birthday with a boy-girl bash, complete with music and dancing. And guess what artist she was listening to? It was our good friend, Miss Britney Spears.
The show kept hyping up the line 'Isn't she lucky?' throughout the show, and it was a nice tie-in to the overall theme of the show.
This should help silence some of those critics who say Britney's star power is on the decline. It was nice to see that Britney has had an influence in this young girl's life, a courageous person who has experienced more in her 12 years than most people will experience in a lifetime.
