Well, we got back from Six
Flags at around midnight, the drive from Los Angeles to San Diego is about 3
hours, so I'm pretty exhausted, plus that I stayed up with my friend for
hours talking about the book of Revelation, lol, we had a pretty interesting
debate, anyway, I won't have time for the Orlando pics tonight either, I
know, I know I'm such a dork for leading you guys on with the teaser pic and
promising the pics that same night without realizing that I had to spend
time here with my friends as well, and in the end I wasn't able to fit stuff
in my schedule together with the rest of the updates, BUT, when I wake up
tomorrow, I will work on them. Anyway.....as I was checking my E-mail I
found out that most of it was news of Britney's arrival to Mexico and the
how she flicked off the cameras, so I wanna talk a little bit about this,
since it's a current event.
First off, did everyone see the movie "Almost Famous" ? The whole waving and
then giving the finger through the glass reminds me a WHOLE lot of the scene
where Kate Hudson, portraying Penny Lane, is on the tour bus, and she does
it to a bunch of girls running past the tour bus. She's just playing
around though. Either way, what Britney did was wrong, no doubt about
it, you will find no excuse from me whatsoever, cause there just isn't one.
Thursday's headlines on Mexico's major newspapers (translated of course from
Spanish):
"Britney Salutes México in a Special Way"
"Britney Shows Off Her Manner's to her Mexican Fans"
"Ooops...Which Finger Was That Again?"
The first thing Britney did when she arrived to Mexico for the last concerts
of her Dream Within A Dream Tour 2002 was to flick off the cameras, "What
she did when the media approached her convoy is considered totally
unacceptable and extremely rude in a conservative country like Mexico, where
manners are of outmost importance. This is sure to give a big blow to
Britney's reputation in Mexico, where over 90% of the population is Catholic
and very religious in general.. There are rumors going around of a boycott
by her Mexican fans, who have paid as much as $1,800 pesos per seat directly
at Ticket Master (to put this into perspective, the Mexican minimum wage is
around $50 pesos for a full day of work, usually 10-12 hours)." a fan
tells World of Britney.com.
One thing that was taken out of proportion
though, was who she was giving the finger to. In a situation like this, it
is understood that she would be directing the insult to her fans in Mexico
or to whoever is watching the video but if you lay it out plain and simple,
she could have just been flicking off the reporter and that's it. But, could
it be that Britney simply just does not care anymore? I mean, first the
black wig at Little Rock and now this, anyone who will actually agree with
me that she looked HOT in that black wig please raise your hand.....yah,
thought so. When something gets so monotonous and identical each day you
just feel like you need a change, will you look bad? will people raise an
eyebrow? "Bleh, I could care less, I think it's fun" Britney could
say. Either way, it's something Britney should not have done because her
Mexicans fans will not like this either way. I can't wait to see what
Britney will say about this in the upcoming shows where she will be
interviewed in Mexico. We will of course keep you updated on this. Click on

Britney will record the program "Otro Rollo" with host Adal Ramones
tomorrow, she will be interviewed and she will perform "I'm A Slave 4 U",
"Overprotected" and "I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman", and as usual in that
show, the host will play some "games" with her, the exclusive press
conference from the hotel she's staying at will be transmitted by MTV
Conexion Latin America and Telehit, after that she will be exclusively
interviewed by Horacio Villalobos, that would be on Friday, Saturday she
would be live again in MTV's Conexion Latin America with his opening act
Luis Fonsi, both will be interviewed and they would perform, after Conexion
they would pass a Britney Weekend that MTV has announced, including making
the videos of "I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman" and "I'm A Slave 4 U",
Totally Britney Live where she was in November with Carson, Making the Movie
Crossroads, Diary of Britney, Story So Far: Britney Spears and so so much
more, this would be a tough week! The hotel where Britney's staying is the
same where stayed the Backstreet Boys when they came in... a fan reports
