According to Seventeen Magazine, a recent New York Times article titled, 'Young, Carefree,and Hooked on Sun Lamps' blames Britney for the increase in teens using tanning beds.
They call the obsession with tanning 'tanorexia', and even state in the article, 'Thank Britney.' Only 39% of the readers they surveyed said that they liked how 'bronze' Britney
was, where as 44% preferred Sarah Michelle Gellar's 'glow.'
I saw that article when I was flipping through my Seventeen magazine waiting for Ruben and Travis (my boyfriend) to wake up (it is like 1:30 pm but we're all so tired since we
stayed up until 5 AM last night...). We're having a lot of fun...we (Travis, Ruben, Shanna, her parents, Travis' mom, and I) all went to Universal Studios on Saturday...and then
Travis, Ruben, and I went to an arcade (which was probably more fun for the boys than it was for me, but we played a bunch of really fun games). Tonight is the big concert and we are all soooo excited :D Ruben says he has a suprise for all of us and that he posted it on the site, but we are not allowed to go to the site and see it, lol. That would ruin it of course....but all you guys know what it is so I hope you're excited for us as well! It's like torture because I feel like such a dork...I usually visit WOB like every day and since I am here I haven't! haha.
Well everyone is awake now, and we have to leave (Travis, his mom, and I are checking in to the Hard Rock Hotel and Ruben is picking up Shanna and Angie). Today we plan on being really lazy to reserve our energy toward the concert tonight! ;o Right now Ruben is blasting up 'Not a Girl Not yet a Woman' lol. Sooo I gotta go now but thanks for reading my little update thing
