Britney Spears was born and raised
in the Kentwood Louisiana area. Though very famous and often far from her
hometown, her memories of home and love for her friends and family are still
strong. Britney has donated numerous items soon to be displayed at the Kentwood
Museum. In addition, she has donated numerous items to be auctioned, the
proceeds from which will be used to support community development activities in
Kentwood. Her friends and neighbors sincerely thank her and are pleased that her
success has allowed her fans to also get to know her better.

Britney Spears Collection
A three-part collection will be
added to the Kentwood Museum honoring Kentwood's most famous native, Britney
Spears. The collection will be divided into three sections: early childhood,
Mouseketeer time, and her present chart-topping status. The Museum's gift shop
will also feature 'Britneybilia'.
Britney's parents have donated
childhood items such as dresses that will be featured in the display. Kentwood
residents are also busy collecting other items to be placed in the museum. There
has been no date set for the display's opening, but as soon as the grand opening
is planned, it will be announced on this Site and pictures of the interior
placed on this page.
The Kentwood museum is located in
Kentwood a short distance off Interstate 55. Kentwood is located near the
Louisiana/Mississippi border about 90 mile north of New Orleans. If you are
headed our way, please stop and visit. We would love to meet you. The Museum's
staff is very knowledgeable about Kentwood, the surrounding area, and of course,
many knew Britney personally when she was growing up and can answer questions
about her childhood.
