For
the past few months, Britney has been singing the praises her little sister
Jamie Lynn, proclaiming to the press that Jamie Lynn "has a better voice
than I do." Not only has the 11-year-old agree with big sister's statement,
but she's made it clear that she aspirations of her own that stretch beyond
record music. Recently, she participated in a Kids "R" Us fashion show,
where she said, "I like fashion, but I want to be a singer and actress."
Following in the footsteps of Britney - who got her start on the Disney
Channel's Mickey Mouse Club - Jamie Lynn and her mom has been meeting with
Nickelodeon about a starring vehicle.
Nickelodeon's popular sketch show "All That" is adding an eighth cast member
for the upcoming season, and you may have heard her name.
Jamie Lynn will join the seven other kids in the cast beginning this fall.
Production on the new season starts this week.
"All That" has been on Nick for seven seasons, acting as a kids' version of
"Saturday Night Live." The show has launched the careers of Nick Cannon
("Men in Black II" ), Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell ("Good Burger" ) and
Amanda Bynes, who stars in the upcoming WB comedy "What I Like About You."
Jamie Lynn has appeared on camera before -- she had a cameo in
Britney's movie "Crossroads" and on her sister's HBO concert special last
year. Jamie Lynn also seems to be following a similar path to that of her
pop-star sister, who first appeared on "The Mickey Mouse Club."
About 3.3 million kids watch "All That" each week. The best-known cast
member to grownups is probably Kyle Sullivan, who has a recurring part as
Malcolm's (Frankie Muniz) Krelboyne pal Dabney on "Malcolm in the Middle."
The other cast members are Chelsea Brummett, Jack De Sena, Lisa Renee Foiles,
Bryan Hearne, Shane Lyons and Giovonnie Samuels.

at the w000t Network's Bellevue Tower :
