If Britney Spears arrival in Sydney yesterday is anything to go by she has definitely learnt her lesson. Following her controversial visit to Britain where she was panned by media, fans and even stars alike for her refusal to speak with fans the world's leading pop star arrived with a big smile and ready to tango. Flanked by three burly looking minders, Spears arrived at 7.25am from LA looking casually hippy chick in jeans and sneakers. She took the time to sign autographs and pose for photos with fans at the airport before heading to her harbourside hotel. She did a session at the hotel gym and was considering taking in a movie in the afternoon rain. Today Britney will attend the premiere of her film Crossroads and perform live for fans at an outdoor event at Fox Studios Show Ring in an event which kicks off at 12 noon. She will perform tracks from her current album including I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman, her latest hit which is heavily featured in Crossroads. Next stop on the Britney whirlwind tour is Japan which means she will fortunately be spared having to be near the antics of her ex Justin Timberlake back home. The *NSYNC-er appears to continue celebrating his new found sigle status and was seen licking whipped cream off female patrons at New York nightclub Brother Jimmy's on Saturday night.

Britney Spears has landed in Sydney. Britney was greeted by fans & the media when her plane landed at Sydney Airport last night. Britney took a second to greet fans and sign autographs before being whisked away by her tight security. Fear of heavy rain has forced her public performance to be moved indoors to City Live at Fox Studios, Australia. Extra video monitors will be erected in a carpark for the hundreds of fans who can't fit in the venue. The event is scheduled to begin at midday. This will be Britney's first & only live performance in Australia. You can catch it on whatuwant from 4pm AEST today
