We heard it from Britney and Justin's mum. Now Justin has at last confirmed that
he and Britney Spears have indeed split.
Justin spilled the beans to U.S. chat show host Rosie O'Donnell, saying that
he still loved his childhood sweetheart and the two are just friends.
"We are friends, but you know how the tabloids are -- they love to run
with any kind of ball they can get.
"I love Britney with all my heart and I will never do anything to
disrespect her or degrade her. She will always be special to me no matter what
happens. She's great."
When asked how he was coping, he told O'Donnell: "I'm cool, but I'm glad
you gave me the chance to say that."
The famous split have been the talk of speculation for weeks until Britney
admitted to the British press that she was not in an intense relationship right
