TIMBERLAKE are battling over who will keep their luxury love nest.
Britney’s friends say she wants the £2million Beverly Hills mansion she
bought with Justin, who dumped her last month.
But mates of NSYNC star Justin say he spotted the house
first, so he should have it.
Pals of both stars fear the row may turn their break-up into a bitter feud.
The couple snapped up the 6,400square ft Californian complex in February
2001, intending to move in when they married.
But now they are consulting their lawyers over who will get to keep it.
A friend of Britney’s said: “I think Brit is quite keen to hang on to it.
It is a really special place in a great location. They haven’t lived in it yet
so it’s not like the place has any bad memories.
“She and Justin are going to have to sit down with their lawyers and sort
it out.”
The palatial villa — which looks over Sunset Strip — is an ideal retreat
for either of the two multi-millionaires.
Built just three years ago, the four-bedroom house features a swimming pool,
a spa, a giant entertainment room, a guest house and a huge five-car garage.
The centrepiece is the massive main bedroom, with its four-poster bed,
private sitting room, his and hers walk-in closets and bathrooms, hardwood
floors and luxury carpets.
Security is provided by a long private driveway and room for live-in
bodyguards.
Pals are now hoping that despite their disagreement over the house, Britney
and Justin will come to an amicable settlement that will see one of them keeping
it or the sale proceeds being split equally.
