You might have always suspected it, but now there is definite proof that fans
of pop princess
Britney Spears may not rank amongst the greatest intellectuals in the world.
The Star reports that Internet search engine Google logged 594
different spellings of "Britney Spears" from 175,000 people over a
period of three months. Over 40,000 fans typed in "Brittany", followed
by a whopping great 36,315 "Brittney"s.
Admittedly we all mistype words on the our keyboards, but just
who in the world were the individuals who typed "Spritney", "Drittney",
"Pretney" and "Bertney"? Google has yet to release any
information on just how many of these Britney-philes were indeed sad middle-aged
men who should know better - how to spell, that is.
