Yes i agree with jlo… there’s a lot of potentional song from circus album to be a single. like: unusual u, shaterred glass, kill the lights, out from under, mannequin… shitt the’re so much monster single in this album… but why jive not release it…. i’m sad circus album sales is disapointed…only sale more than 3,5million around the worlds… that’s ashame. (even i know because it not promoted well)
Well I am sure that the sales were more than 3.5 million around the world. I think that that total has not been updated since like January 2009. Her record did amazingly well for just being out 2 months.
Btw, she promoted her album by touring around the world.
We may have wanted more singles, but she was on Tour so she was too busy to put out music videos. She usually puts out high quality music videos and they just didn’t have the time to do that with her touring. They could have slapped something together, but I think they felt it was best to not do so. It gives them more time to focus on tour and upcoming works.
Since she won’t be on tour for a while, we will probably get more singles for the upcoming album. I believe we will also get more music videos.
Let us not forget that she was also recovering from depression/stress/mental breakdown. Being a mom and having a professional career can be pretty stressful. Imagine having to go on stage, dance, sing, and perform…being under the pressure of your own desires, your record labels desires, the desires of the fans, and the media/general public scrutiny. we don’t want her getting melting down do we?
I think she did what she should have done. She released some singles, focused on tour (97 performances around the world!), focused on being a mom, and focused on attaining a healthy mind again. She was also under a conservatorship. I’m sure that limited her in some ways as well. Besides, not seeing too much of her makes us want more =-)
Let’s see how she and her record label/managers handle things for her upcoming album and performances. We know she is a great performer. Hopefully we will not be dissatisfied. I doubt we will.
Im pumped…I dont wanna expect anything that she is about to bring this year…I want my jaw to drop to the floor. You know how it did when she tore off her tuxedo at the VMA’s ?
