Britney Spears Trades Plot for Simple, Sexy Dancing in “3″ Video
After teasing fans with 15-second clips on herTwitter yesterday, Britney Spears finally revealed the video for her Hot 100-topping single “3,” the new track that will feature on her upcoming The Singles Collection. You’d expect the video for a song about threesomes to be Rated-X, but Spears keeps things borderline tasteful with the “3″ vid, busting out some suggestive dance moves that are nowhere near as racy as the lyrics to “If U Seek Amy.” Instead, Spears and her cadre of dancers go the “Single Ladies” route by scaling back on sets and simply dancing in front of white and gray backgrounds. It’s not Britney’s best (it’s nowhere near her “Slave 4 U” clip), but we haven’t seen her dancing with this much conviction since the In the Zone era.
Considering that today marks the two-year anniversary of Blackout, as Spears’ official Website points out, it’s clear Britney’s dance skills are getting back on track. (We’d love to forget her stripper pole-hugging performance in the “Gimme More” video — as well as her half-hearted moves on her recent Circus tour.) And this makes it a perfect time to look back at theBlackout album covers we’d like to see.
As Rolling Stone previously reported, Spears’ The Singles Collection will be released on November 24th, joining a release week that also features Adam Lambert’s For Your Entertainment, Rihanna’s Rated R, Lady Gaga’s The Fame Monster and 50 Cent’s Before I Self Destruct.

Britney may have not danced as much as she use to in this video for some reason the directors keeps cutting out the dancing but if i compare this to beyonce’s single ladies video i think this video is far better beyonce is not dancing in her video what so ever i dont class that as dancing so even though i dont think this will ever be one of britneys best i will say its better than single ladies by beyonce thats my view anyway by the way i enough the if u seek amy video dancing its far better than 3 and end cirus is a great video too even womanizers dance is an alrite video this era if you seek amy is my fav for dancing and video though thats my view ok

i agree terri, and honestly, if single ladies was able to win Mtv’s video of the year, then people obviously liked it, and 3 is alot more detailed and has more going on than single ladies, so i don’t see why people wouldn’t like it and as much as i love the 3 video, i do like the dancing in If U Seek Amy much more, it’s more fun and energetic, at least that’s what i think, but Brit does look smokin hot in this video, and people were complaing about the hair, i think it was perfect for the concept of the song, the song is about sex and her hair was tousled and messy like it would be after sex, so i think it fit, plus i hear she don’t really like people touching her head/hair, so she mainly does it herself, she lets very few people touch it and when they do the touching is minimal, from what i hear that is

i really do like the video it’s really good , the dancing of britney is amazing her energy and everything , and i know that there were more dancing going on with britney and the six male ,, and britney and the 2 guys , but in the video we can’t see it , and my opinion about the director suck , at the end the director really ruined it , it’s like she was putting rapidly scene from everywhere mixing them up ! i hate the director i love britney and her dancing in the video !
i liked the video alot……it was simple; yet complex….i think she wanted to keep it simple b/c the song is simple and i’m glad it wasn’t too provocative lol

ive seen her live in london this year and she has her energy she did put her all into it apart from the singing but i dont care about her lipsyncing i go to see a show not to see a singer i love britney too bits but i think she should direct the video herself maybe and dance alot shes still the best performer in my oppion even if shes not showing it but she use to always give it her all watch her abc show in 03/04 on youtube that girl dances amazingly and her dancing aint upto that standard yet i dont think she needs to train more and put her all into every performance ive seen most of her circus shows on youtube and some shows you can see shes giving it her all and some shows it looks like she dont wannabe there asmuch as it pains me to say this if she dont wanna do this no more stop doing it cause shes lost her passion the hunger that she once had shes got enough money to retire she could just go away thats what i think

she actually loves dancing yeah but she could always go to a dance studio and dance if she wanted too ive seen the circus show i went to the 02 to see her in london and she performed well the choreography is crap though and she hasnt sorted it out go watch youtube when she dances from 1998-2004 im not saying she cant dance i think she can its just shes not as good as she once was
terri , ur talking now about choreography , ok well britney doesn’t do the choreo , so yeah , and i’v watched her mannequin rehearsal video and the new never seen rehearsal video and she looks like she is dancing in the onyx hotel era !!!!!!! so she still got it and she still doing it , and the dancing in circus tour is good , specially the get naked / toxic / bomt / if u seek amy /radar … she killed it
ric do you agree though the bollywood dance to me against the music is crap ive seen those videos your talking about and she can still dance but she doesnt bring that performance to every show!
ric go watch her nrf toxic performance in 2004 or her abc special and you will see what i mean she can still dance now but not as good as 2004

I agree with Terri. We can say what we want, justify it any way we want. Point is that: Britney’s dancing is a far cry from what it used to be. Reasons could be choegrapher (but it has been going on for a while, this decrease in extent of dancing), her knee injury(rehearsal videos show that she can still move though. Perhaps, she should not dance too much for extended periods of time?) or possibly medication for bipolarity which can diminish energy levels.
I have watched her Circus tour and yes, one would have to be in denial to say that she still dances the way she used to. I am a big fan of hers and I hope she continues to succeed.
Maybe she does not care as much anymore. Maybe, she just wants to make money quickly and focus on her family. I could not blame her for that.
