Yoko Ono: Britney Spears Is a Survivor
Britney Spears has come a long way, but Yoko Ono, John Lennon’s 76-year-old widow, thinks the pop star deserves more respect.
“I think that the world was not fair to her, and they’re just using her and not dignifying her,” she toldUsmagazine.com at the ThreeAsFour Homage to Yoko Ono on Thursday in NYC.
Up until last year, headlines bearing Spears’ name reported on her bizarre psychotic behaviors, drug use, and a tumultuous custody battle with ex Kevin Federline over her two sons, Sean Preston, 4, and Jayden James, 3.
Now, Spears, 27, is hard at work promoting her sixth album, Circus, on a sold-out international tour.
“I think she’s a survivor and she’s doing very well,” Ono told Us.

Amen to That ! Britney Deserves better from everybody… She never did anything to harm anyone and yet people critisize her on a regular basis… she didn’t beat someone up, drive drunk or stoned, crash and people still treat her worse than stars who have these past 3 years and she gets no slack they still moch her thinking shes an unfit mother, she’s proven she works harder than a lot of celebrity parents , celebrities in general this past year!

Yoko i love you for what you said, i believe the music world uses her, and their jealous of her………I hate how they dont play her music as much as they should, and the barely show her videos. I don’t like that a bit………….and i actually think we should petition

i completely agree with yoko!!!! britney is a survivor and certainly deserves more credit!!! unlike people like paris and lindsay, britney actually changed for the better!!!! but yet, people besides us fans, still talk shit about her and say that once the conservatorship is over, she’s gonna slip back in to the crazy behavior again, well i don’t believe that one bit, because if she didn’t want to get her life together, than she would refuse to work and tour, if she didn’t want all this, she would fight against it all and cause big scenes, but since she’s not doing that, it truely shows that she’s grown, she realized the past was bad, and wants to be better!!! i just can’t wait for the c-ship to end and she can prove all those haters and doubters wrong!!!
as for yoko that was really sweet of her to say that, it just sucks that she was part of the reason, why one of the GREATEST bands ever, broke up!!!
